Open for lunch – Monday through Saturday (11 AM to 4 PM). Don’t let the fact that this restaurant is attached to a gas station deter you…this is a favorite of James and Sumner both. This place puts sandwiches on pizza crust and the combination is truly remarkable. Favorite sandwiches include the Pitching Wedge and the Flop Wedge. This is a can’t miss on the restaurant tour of the Pines.

If you’re looking for a delicious spot for dinner on Friday night before the welcome party, look no further. Best pizza in town but get there early because it’s not a secret. And they don’t take reservations and you have to pay with cash (there is an ATM though!) Menu highlights include but are not limited to the White Traditional Pizza and the garlic rolls.

**Pro tip: Should you decide to get a large group together, you can call ahead and request the back room!

A crowd favorite that has quickly become James’ favorite place in the Pines. It needs no description because it is the best and you’ll just have to see for yourself. Take an Irish Car Bomb before the Welcome Party or grab a Moscow Mule and head to the range!

Your trip to “the Pines” wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Taxidermy Hall of Fame/Creationist Museum, located underneath the Christian Bookstore on Broad Street in Southern Pines. Admission is donation based and you can also buy an assortment of fudge at the end of your visit. It also doubles as a tool museum.

The newest gem on the block but it’s Sumner’s absolute favorite. It doesn’t hurt that Liz Dal (Sumner’s mom) works there and it’s owned by one of her dearest friends. Do yourself a favor and check it out, you won’t regret it but your wallet might! Located in Downtown Southern Pines!
